Bronco Game ReportsGame 1: Manchester vs PrestonThis was a very easy win for us as Preston were unable to get a team together for the match. Sorry, to all the disappointed players who didn't get to play their first match of the season. Result: Manchester 9 Preston 0Game 2: Manchester vs BirminghamAfter a long drive to Birmingham, we were all there ready to go, awaiting the arrival of our opposition. The broncos were fortunate, the rain held off for their game. First up to the mound was Dane Carney, who pitched really well in his first pitchball game. Dane pitched the first 3 innings, not giving many runs away. We batted well and the runs were climbing, out of reach for Birmingham. Next up to the mound was Sean McNeilage, who kept up the good work where Dane left off. The team all played really well with no overthrows and lots of covering, well done! Result: Manchester 17 Birmingham 7Game 3: Manchester vs BirminghamThis was the return match, with Birmingham coming up to sunny Manchester, we had a lovely sunny day for our match. A few players were playing their first pitchball game today. Dane was first up on the mound once again, giving very few runs away. Sean hit an in the park home run, which kept our score line rising. Next up to the mound was Patrick, we can all have a bad day. Sean took over on the mound and with solid batting the score went in our favour again. We did not bat in the final innings having won the match. We played a 3 innings friendly afterwards, which we won as well, but it was great to see others take the pitching mound, perhaps now they may be brave enough in a match! Result: Manchester 13 Birmingham 9Game 4: Manchester vs CartmelRained out, will be rescheduled
