GB National Cadet Squad 2001

Kyle Saxton, William Fusi Rubiano & Jonny Woodall have all been selected to play for the GB National Cadet team for the European tour this year.

The boys are all in the MBC Saints Pony team and joined the BG academy last year. After a winter of trials and practice the boys were in the first selections for the under 15's traveling team. Tournaments are planned for both the domestic and international schedules in 2001, and will also involve competition with visiting tour teams.

William, (pitcher), had previously represented the North of England All Stars in 2000. Kyle Saxton, (catcher),  was Most Improved Player in the Pony team last year.

Jonny  is only just 13 and in his first year at this level.

Karim Ariane continues his trials with the Junior national squad, if selected he will compete in the world junior championships in USA in August.

All  four have been with the Saints since the Rookie squads and were in the 1998 national finalist Bronco team.

Congratulations from all at MBC. WELL DONE !

MBC will continue to assess other players in all age groups for their potential to join the GB Academy. Regular camps and practice sessions are held at the HQ in Oxford.
